William Webber
The Infirmary Board was notified yesterday from Auglaise county that William Webber stopped at a farmer's
house in that county last Saturday, that he suddenly took sick, died the next day and was buried on
Monday. The deceased was born April 3rd, 1828, making him a little past 63 years of age. He had been
staying at the Infirmary for a month past, but left on the 6th inst., saying he intended to canvass for a
patent fence this summer. This is what took him to Auglaize county. He once owned a fine farm in the
west part of Pleasant township.

Isreal A. Will
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Isreal A. Will, who departed this life Wednesday
evening at his home on East Main street, aged 32 years and 9 months. During his youth Mr. Will lived
on a farm, receiving a common schook education, but arriving at manhood he sought employment in our
factories where he was recognized as an intelligent, faithful workman. In 1887 he was the nominee of the
Democratic party for sheriff and made an honorable race for success. Although defeated by a popular
opponent, he accepted the verdict of the people so gracefully that the leaders of his party determined to
secure a position for him as Deputy Recorder, a place he held for three years until he resigned in September
because of his failing health. Consumption slowly but surely marked its progress, and at the time noted
above his life peacefully ebbed away. He left a wife but no children. The funeral will be held today
from the Friends Church, with burial in Woodland cemetery.

Mrs. Evan E. Williams, of Van Wert county, died there last week. She was a daughter of Thomas T. Jones, of Jefferson Furnace, and a sister of Eben Jones, of Jackson. The Williams resided at Buckeye Furnace until last spring, when they removed to Van Wert. Mrs. Williams went to school with us many years ago, and she was a very excellent woman.
